When we began this venture, we did extensive market research.  Part of that research included our survey, which posed the question, “Would you be willing to invest in this project to help make it happen?“  The results were overwhelmingly in support.  So we moved forward.  However, we have fallen short of our S.E.C. investment requirement, as stated in our initial public offering.  Therefore all investment dollars will be returned to the potential investors.

Throughout all our research and reviews from business specialists, Oakleys was, and still is a viable, sound business opportunity.  It’s a project whose time has come.  That is why we will continue to focus on additional ways to raise the necessary start-up capital through corporate investors, grants and donations.  Oakleys will offer classes when conceal and carry passes in the state of Wisconsin.  We are instructor-ready!  In the interim, our web page and facebook page will remain active.

So, to all who are supportive of Oakleys becoming a reality, we want to hear from you.  We invite comments, suggestions. . . . and donations! That was just a joke. . . . but seriously, please share your thoughts.

	For all who have invested so far, THANK YOU!! Investments have been coming in!  It’s important that you share this information with others so the Oakleys name reaches many.  Summer’s coming to an end, the fairs are over.  Here’s a picture of our booth we had at the St Louis County fair in Chisholm in July.  The nerf dart guns were a hit with the kids AND a number of adults that visited our booth frequently!  We were able to reach out to alot of people there and share our story and our vision.  Now our attention turns to the hunting seasons that are right around the corner.   Along with that comes our infamous winter weather.  That is all the more reason to help make Oakleys a reality.   Although there is no shortage of bad economic news nationally, the impact in our region has not been as severe.  The greater population in this area share the hunter’s passion, and they have a vested interest in the economic success of this region.  The people of Oakleys share that passion.  It will be for the Northland, by the Northland.  We welcome the opportunity to answer any of your questions.  Please “shoot” us an e-mail with questions or comments.   Oakleys Shooting Range Nancy Bode, President

One more year draws to a close. It’s been a year of waiting and networking. We reached over 500 people this last year at area fairs, banquets, and outdoor shows. But it doesn’t stop there. We encourage all to share our plan with others to help us get our name out there.  Our attorney tells us we should hear from the SEC yet this month.  That’s an exciting way to start out a new year!
